Database Integration

Integrating databases with websites is one of our specialities. The databases in question can either be existing database which you wish to extend to the web, or an entirely new database you wish to use to expand the potential of your website. Common applications include making a product catalogue available over the web, and storing customer and order information, although of course there are many other applications!

We have experience with a wide variety of relational databases. This extends to database design as well as set-up, administration and website integration. Databases we have experience of include:

• MySQL
• Oracle 8i
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Microsoft Access

When developing websites using Perl, we use the DBI modules (DBD-MySQL, DBD-Oracle etc.) to link to websites. When using developing with ASP, we connect using ADO.
